About me

Dr. Los Huertos works at the interface between agriculture and surface waters to test practices that improve water quality and maintain the region's productive agricultural sector. In particular, he has been researching methods to reduce nitrate pollution while reducing the risk of food-borne illnesses. He also has a research project to determine the impact of nitrogen on algae growth and species composition along the central coast.
